In Beijing, Badaling Wall and Mutianyu Wall would cost a tourist for about 60 RMB. But in other part of China, it is free for tourists to visit although the Great Wall in other places is impared and sometimes dangrous for ordinary tourists.

I went to the Great Wall in april 2008, our tour of "The Great Wall" was free. we walked 2 miles and it was very exhausting, some of the steps are about 18 inches high and others ae about 6 inches, some areas where very steep, nearly had to climb on or hands and knees. Other parts are very flat. All in all it was a marvel to see, a true wonder to the eye. An adventure I will soon not forget. If the opportunity ever comes....take it!

I went to the Great Wall of China during the Olympics. It did not cost me anything to stand on it and have my photography taken.
