About:Chinese Language

my main concern about travelling in china is the language barrier. how does one get around it? Or can one?

Depends on where you go. Langauge could be a barrier in some places like normal restaurants or shopping malls. Many ppl speaks English in hotels and tourists area. Better have a details plan or find a tourguide before you reach there.
