I will passing through Kunming on my way to Baoshan and will need to change USD for yuan. My flight lands in Kunming at 6:05 PM and leaves the next morning for Baoshan at 9:10 AM. Is there a bank that would be open in the evening or early morning where I can exchange some USD or is there a currency exchange at the airport I could use? DO you have a recommendation for a hotel for that short time period?

Hi, you can find a currency exchange shop Travelex which is at the International Terminal, Arrival Level (next to Greeters Hall). It opens from 05:30 to 23:30.  For that short time, you can stay in the airport hotel.
