Do I need any special docs for a 72 hour transit visa in Beijing

I am passing through Beijing during a 10 hour layover on the way to Hong Kong. I read I need to have a passport photo available? Is this accurate? Do I need to bring anything other than my passport? Thank you.

Lisa, the passport-style photo is not needed. You need to prepare your passport, and the onward ticket to HK.
