About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

TWOV for Indonesian flying from Indonesia

I am an Indonesian Citizen
I booked flight from Jakarta, Indonesia to Shanghai by transit to Chongqing.
I will be in shanghai about 2-3 days.
I will leave shanghai to kuala lumpur, malaysia.

do I eligible to have a TWOV policy?

Edward, your itinerary is definitely eligible for 240 hour visa free transit and you do not need any kind of visa. You should just take care that your flight Jakarta - China does not have an intermediate landing in Malaysia. Also, it is essential that your flight Shanghai - Kuala Lumpur does not have an intermediate landing in Indonesia.

Also, since you will fly to Shanghai via Chongqing it is important to understand that you will perform all your immigration formalities in Chongqing since Chongqing will be your first point of landing in China. Have a nice visit to China.
