Your first presented itinerary is definitely eligible for 240 hour visa free transit and you do not need any kind of visa. It is eligible because it complies with the basic rule that clearly states that the immediate points before and after mainland China have to be in two different countries or eligible territories (eligible territories are Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau). As far as your second itinerary is concerned, it does not belong under 240 hour visa free transit jurisdiction. 240 hour visa free transit is relevant only if you have mainland China within your itinerary. If you just travel to Hong Kong and Macau you can travel there as Indonesian citizen visa free for up to 30 days.
