About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visa

Hello
I am flying on Wednesday 24th with China Eastern Airlines from Frankfurt FRA via Shanghai Pudong PVG to Bangkok BKK
My transit in Shanghai ist about 4 Hours.
I hold a Swiss Refuge Travel Document Blue Passport, not a regular Swiss passport.
Could you please Confirm
Can I transit without a visa and stay in the international transit area until my connection flight?

Thank you for your reply.
Best regards

Yes, you are allowed to travel on a Swiss Refugee Travel Document, but your flight booking has to be on a single ticket (one, single booking). If this is the case, you will just walk from one to the other gate at Shanghai airport and you will spend your entire transit time within the transit zone (airside) of Shanghai airport . You do not have to perform any formality nor fill out any form. Also, you will not be a subject of immigration or customs inspection. The only thing that you will encounter between the two gates will be a security check (metal detector and usual stuff). Have a nice journey.
