About:Do I Need A Visa for Guangzhou If Traveling from Hong Kong?

Visa Required for this trip?

Hi All,
I am currently in Hong Kong and would like to visit Guangzhou for a day to see the sites. I have a UK passport and my return flight is from Hong Kong back to UK. How can i get there without a visa?

Sorry, the visa waiver policies including 240h visa-free transit don't apply to you as you will go back to HK for the return flight to UK. Maybe you can return from Guangzhou to Macau then HK, HK - China Mainland - Macau is an eligible transit route.
