About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

going from Hong Kong to Shenzhen

I will be leaving Hong Kong, going to Shenzhen China. Can I take a boat from Hong Kong to Shenzhen and enter at Shekou port (boat port) with the 240 hour visa free program? or Hong Kong to Nansha port? I won't be flying into any airport. Is there a way to take a train from Hong Kong to Shenzhen via the 240 hour visa free program? If by boat, do I go to China ferry terminal inTsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong? Is Hong Kong to China and back to Hong Kong eligible? or Hong Kong to China to Macau eligible?

Since you do not plan to fly, your only eligible option is to take a ferry from Hong Kong to Shekou in Shenzhen or to Nansha (located south from Guangzhou). You will use Tsim Sha Tsui (called as China Ferry Terminal) for Nansha and Sheung Wan (called as Macau Ferry Terminal) for Shekou. You cannot use a train from Hong Kong to mainland China. The train is eligible only for mainland China to Hong Kong direction. Also, you cannot return directly to Hong Kong from mainland China, but you have to exit to Macau. It is essential to buy your Shekou to Macau ferry ticket in advance, even before you depart from Hong Kong because you will be asked to present it in both Hong Kong at the time of your departure and upon arrival in Shekou. Have a nice visit to China.
