About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit in CAN Guangzhou

Hi, we - M41 Australian passport holder and F32 Hongkong Passport holder - plan to go from Sydney, AUS to Budapest, HUN in December. On our way back we have a long 19hrs transit and we'd like to stay in a transit / airport hotel. Our problem is that F32 doesn't have current Mainland Travel Permit and she can only travel if she signs a statement she won't enter China. Once in transit, can she get a temporary 24hrs permit to stay in an airpot/ transit hotel in Guangzhou? Thank you in advance

No, unfortunately, she will not be granted a temporary entry permit because the rules are relentless on this subject. I am so sorry to tell you that the only option left to her is to find some amusement within the airside (transit area).
