About:10-year China Visa

I have a current 10 year Q2 visa, can I still use it in 2025?

I have a current 10 year Q2 visa issued DEC 2016 and expires DEC 2026, can I still use it in 2025?
When should I apply for a new 10 year visa?
Can I get a Foreigner's Permanent Residence Card since my wife is a Chinese citizen and we travel to China yearly.
I formerly lived in China as a International School Teacher with a Foreign Expert Certificate from 2010 to 2015 and married my wife in 2010 in Shanghai.

Hi Paul, you can still use your 10-year visa in 2025 and apply for a new one 1 month to 10 days before it expires in 2026. Actually, you can apply for a 3-year visa with multiple entries free of charge when it expires according to the present policy.

To obtain a Permanent Residence Card, you are required to live in mainland for five years in a row, the annual stay here being no shorter than nine months, and have stable and secured living status and place to live.
