I am a Singaporean. Intend to visit China as a tourist for 35 days. What type of visa should I apply?

As a tourist, you need an L visa.

Yap, you actually can enter China visa free with a Singaporean passport and stay for 30 days at most. When the 30-day period is going to end, you can leave for HK/Macau/Taiwan temporarily and reenter Mainland China to start a new 30-day visa-free stay. In this case, you don't need to go through the visa application procedures.
