About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visa Free Shanghai and Hong Kong

Hi, we are travelling from London to Shanghai, stay 3 days and the flying on to Hong Kong for 3 days. From Hong Kong we fly to Australia. 3 weeks later we transit through Shanghai (from Hong Kong again) for 24 hours on our way back to the UK. Do we need a visa? Many thanks Sue

Hi, Sue, you don’t need a visa for the two transits in Shanghai as London – Shanghai – HK and HK – Shanghai – UK are eligible for China’s 240h and 24h visa free transit policy respectively.
