About:10-year China Visa for US and Canadian Citizens

Can US citizens apply outside of the US?

I will be in Sydney before going to China. Can I apply for the 10-year visa from Australia as a US passport holder?

I’m afraid you cannot do that in Sydney. You can only apply at the embassy/consulate in the jurisdiction where you reside in your country. For detailed information: www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/united_states.htm.
