About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

China Transit Visa

I will be traveling with Air China from Heathrow (LHR) to Ho Chi Minh City (SGN), with a 4-hour layover in Beijing. As an Indian passport holder, will I require a visa for this transit in China?

No, you are required nothing unless you need to leave the restricted transit area at the airport.

Craig, you definitely do not need any kind of visa. Since you have relatively short layover and it seems that you have your entire journey under the same booking (single ticket), you will just walk from one to the other gate and you will not perform any kind of formality and you do not need to fill out any forms or cards. You will just cross a security check between the two gates and you will not be a subject to immigration or customs control. Have a nice journey.
