Where to go during Chinese New Year 2025 in Beijing?

I will be in Beijing from January 28 to February 3, and I'm wondering if the tourist attractions will be open during that time. Will the malls close earlier as well? Could you recommend some attractions to visit during this period, as well as any nearby cities worth exploring and still open? Additionally, is there anything else I should be aware of during my visit?

Most attractions will still be open but the opening hours may change. Malls are open as well. Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Badaling, Temple of Heaven and National Museum are recommended. Seeing from previous years, Forbidden City and National Museum may be closed on Jan. 28, Chinese New Year's Eve day. There will be temple fairs in some parks like Beihai Park, Yuyuantan Park, Badachu Park, a great chance to experience China traditional culture.
