What is the purpose of this question?
I volunteer with a worldwide humanitarian organisation in my home country however my visit to China is as a tourist.

May I ask, what kind of question? The question about work experience? I'm not sure about the purpose but applicants need to fill it in truthfully to get a visa successfully.
