About:Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

Do we qualify for the 144 hour visa?

We are US Citizens traveling to Guangzhou via Vancouver, BC and Hong Kong. Our return itinerary connects in the same cities. We are only in Guangzhou for 24 hours visiting a manufacturer.

Do we qualify for the 144 hour visa-free period?

So your return trip is GZ - HK - Vancouver, BC - USA? Sorry the route is not eligible for the 144 but since you will stay in GZ for only 24 hours, the 24hr visa free transit will be enough. Just get a 24hr temporary entry permit at the border counter.
