About:Gubeikou Great Wall

Train Beijing-Miyun & Bus Miyun-Gubeiko

Hi there, as we will not be able to make the afternoon train from Beijing to Gubeiko, we were thinking of taking the high speed train to Miyun (like G3531) and then the bus from Miyun to Gubeiko. do you think that would be feasible? (I haven't seen the train mentioned, but seems to be a valid option?) or what other means of transport would be recommended when leaving Beijing to Gubeikou after 4pm. We will then stay overnight and hike the next day.

The distance between Miyun railway station and Gubeikou is about 65km and it takes about 2h40min by bus with a transfer, pretty time-consuming and the bus departures are not many so it takes much time to wait for it. Sorry I didn't find other transportation. Maybe you can charter a private car.

Can you depart a little early? The last train from Beijing to Gubeikou, S503 departs from Beijing North Railway Station at 14:20. I personally prefer the direct train.
