About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Chengdu

Airport Question and Official Policy

Hi, I see some comments about using both airports to enter Chengdu, but the main website of the National Immigration Administration of China only lists the Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport on their website as the eligible port:
Tianfu International Airport as an eligible port of entry and exit for Chengdu and the 144-hour visa-free transit?

You should not worry about because Timatic that is an ultimate guide and authority to check the eligibility of passengers as far as the visas and other details are concerned, clearly lists both Chengdu Shuangliu (CTU) and Chengdu Tianfu (TFU) airports as eligible entry/exit points. It also clearly lists administrative areas of Chengdu, Leshan, Deyang, Suining, Meishan, Ya'an, Ziyang, Neijiang, Zigong, Luzhou and Yibin as eligible for the passengers on 144 hour visa free transit. Please, just proceed with your travel plans regardless whether your flight arrives/departs any of the mentioned two airports. You can take it as granted.
