Piritta, your itinerary is not eligible for 144 hour visa free transit.

The main rule for 144 hour visa free transit clearly states that the immediate points before and after your mainland Chinese destination have to be in two different countries or eligible territories (eligible territories: Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau). As you can see, your immediate points are both in Stockholm or to simplify in Sweden. This is by definition a return trip and not a transit. Such an itinerary requires a Chinese visa obtained in advance.

Also, it is important to know that the Chinese authorities simply do not mind where you will fly from/to before/after those immediate points. It is necessary to point out that there are no direct flights between Stockholm and Shanghai at least at the time being.
