Metro lines are cheap and convenient. You can take Guangzhou metro line 3 north extension at the airport to Tiyu West Rd., then transfer to line 3 to Lijiao, then change to Guangzhou-Foshan Line to Foshan. It takes about 2 hours. You can also take metro line 3 north extension to Jiahe Wangang, and transfer to line 2 to Guangzhou South Railway Station, and take a bullet train there to Foshan.
