know about transit visa

Question

I am Sri Lankan.  I am planning to travel from Italy to South Korea next month.  I have already booked Air China flight tickets.  So I want to know that I have the transit from Beijing. I have to stay for about 8 hours.  So should I get a visa from China for that?

You are definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit and you do not need any kind of visa. Of course, you need a visa for South Korea, but as far as China is concerned, you will enjoy visa free status. You will not be a subject to immigration and customs control, but you will just cross short security check between your two flights.
