24-hour twov for philippine passport

Question

Hi! I have a confirmed flight from Japan to Philippines on April 26, 2024 via Shanghai Pudong International Airport. The layover time is less than 3 hours. Am I eligible for the 24-Hour TWOV? If yes, what steps do I need to take? Appreciate all the help! P.S. This is my first time travelling an indirect route so I am at a loss on what to do.

Melissa, you are definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit and you do not have to do literally anything and you do not need any kind of visa. Passengers traveling on a single (through) ticket through China and especially the large airports will just exit the plane and head toward the gate for your onward flight. On that path you will not pass any immigration or customs control, but just through a security check. You do not need anything else but your passport. This is very easy and convenient.
