About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Does my trip qualify for 144 hour visa exemption?

I'm flying from New York to Hong Kong on March 31, then Hong Kong to Beijing on April 9, then Beijing to New York on April 15 (with a 3 hour lay-over in Hong Kong). Please advise. Thank You! I'm a USA citizen

Only the stops before and after Beijing matter in this case. Your itinerary HK - Beijing - HK (3-hour layover) - New York is not eligible because of the layover in HK. Sorry for that:(
