About:China Visa Application in UK

transit visa

Hello, I'm travelling from the UK to Malaysia through China (Shenzhen) on a connecting flight with a layover of 5 hours (same route for the flight back to the UK). I'm a resident of the UK with a Tunisian passport, do I need to apply for a G visa (transit) even if all 4 flights are with the same company and I will not be leaving the airport?
Thank you

Generally, you are eligible for the 24-hour visa-free transit and no visa is needed.

Thank you for your reply.
I’ve checked and it said about 56 countries are eligible for 24 hours visa free stay but my country was not on the list and this is why I am not sure if I actually need to apply in this case.

Don't worry, only 72/144-hour visa-free transit has a strict rule and only people from 54 countries are eligible. As for 24 hours visa-free transit, it is okay for nearly all the nationalities.
