Transit visa under 24 hours

Hello there, was wondering if I need to apply for any type of transit visa if I just layover in Guangzhou for like 1h40 and then will continue to fly to New Zealand? Do I have to fill any type of form for my luggage (which I believe I don't as I'm not really "entering" the country and only remain in the airport. Thank you very much for your time.

Under the assumption that you arrive into Guangzhou from Vietnam or some other country and going to New Zealand, you will be covered by 24 hour visa free transit and you will not have to go through any kind of immigration checks. In other words, you do not need any kind of visa and also you do not have to do any other formality, arrival/departure card included. Your passport and your boarding pass is all you need. If you are traveling on a single ticket, your luggage will be tagged all the way to New Zealand, so you do not have to bother with this detail at all. Just for your peace of mind, you will confirm this detail at the check-in in Vietnam. To summarize, you are good to go :)
