About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

72 hour

US Citizen Would like to fly to Beijing on Nov 11, visit the Great Wall on Nov 12 and fly to Hong Kong on Nov 13 to leave on a cruise Nov 15. Will the 72 hour Visa-free policy work for me?

Your itinerary is definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in wider Beijing area. It is 144 and not 72 hour visa free transit because the latter was replaced in Beijing with 144 hours years ago.

Is the 144 hour visa free something I can get at the airport when I get there similar to the line for the 72 hour?
