About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

London-Shanghai-Taipei-Shangai-London

Hello,
As a UK citizen, can I check if it will be permitted to use Shanghai as a stop over in both directions on the way to Taipei?
I would have a return flight to Shanghai from London, and then Taipei from Shanghai. Meaning a couple of nights in each direction?
Would this be permitted?

Yes, your itinerary is eligible for the 144-hour visa-free transit as long as you don't have any other stop in mainland China.
