About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Looking for guidance on 144 hour transit policy

Hi I have been looking into 72/144 visa free entry to mainland China but am unsure if I am entitled to this.
I fly to Beijing Daxing airport from Dublin airport via Abu Dhabi (connecting flight) . On a British passport 5 April 2024. Then stay at Hotel in Beijing for 2 nights before leaving China on the 8th April 2024 through Tianjin International Cruise port, on a Royal Caribbean cruise to Japan, the cruise does not return to China. I will be flying home from Singapore. Am I eligible for visa free transit.
Many thanks

Under the assumption that you have presented your itinerary correctly and without omitting additional landings/port calls, you are definitely and undeniably eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in the wider Beijing area and you do not need any kind of visa. Please, just have in mind to print out your flight and cruise tickets and have them at hand. Also, I encourage you to use correct terminology because this is 144 hour visa free transit. If you realize that those in Abu Dhabi struggle to understand the essence, just point them to check your transit to Japan via China in Timatic and there they will see that you are perfectly eligible for that.
