cash payment

Is it true that China doesn't accept cash anymore? So tourists must use alipay or wechat? How do foreigners install those apps if they dont have local phone number and local bank account?

Not really. Though Alipay and WeChat Pay are widely used in China, cash is still available everywhere.

You need local phone number or bank account, you can link a visa and Mastercard to it, which is what I'm doing. I'm from America.
