About:Xidi Ancient Village

Hefei - Xidi - Hefei in one day

Hi - i am planning a trip with friends from overseas. can we take an early train from Hefei to Huangshan, have a car and guide pick us up, go to Xidi - and catch the train back to Hefei in the eveing?
Is a day trip possible? What can we see in one day?

It is possible but the time would be very tight. Generally, a single train journey takes about 1.5-2 hours to reach Huangshan. After that, the bus journey from Huangshan North to Xidi takes also about 1.5 hours. You need to spend 6-7 hours on the way. It is better to spend 2 days there.
