Transit Visa

If you are a German citizen you can do whatever itinerary you want because German citizens do not need a visa for China for stays of up to 15 days starting from December 1st. If you are a Japanese citizen, then you would have to obtain a Chinese transit visa in advance because you cannot have two mainland Chinese cities in a row. In reality, you could even have two Chinese cities in a row if your entire transit time within mainland China, counted from your scheduled arrival in Beijing, until your scheduled departure from Shenzhen, is shorter than 24 hours. If your entire transit time is shorter than 24 hours, then you would be covered by 24 hour visa free transit and you would not need a visa. Now, you have to count your hours if you are a Japanese citizen or just freely proceed with this itinerary if you are a German citizen.
