About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

72 hour transit

Hi,
I am travelling on Sunday and did not get my regular visa on time.
I am wondering if I still can do the following with changing my flight:
8th in the evening Berlin - via Istanbul to Guangzhou Baiyun Airport arrival Monday afternoon 9th - departure Guangzhou Baiyun Airport on Thursday evening 22:00 to Hongkong and fly Friday back to Berlin from HK

My regular flight was :
Berlin - HK - with train to Dongguan - back to HK - to Berlin

If I understand properly, your changed flight is as follow: Berlin - Istanbul - Guangzhou - HK - Berlin. The itinerary is eligible for the 144-hour visa-free transit if you fly from Guangzhou to HK.

Just to add that you can exit Guangzhou or Shenzhen to Hong Kong by ferry. Anyway, you will have to book your ferry ticket in advance, have a ferry ticket as a printout in your hands and also take exactly that ferry you have bought your ticket for.
