About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

24 hours visa transit

Holding French passport, Jakarta - Hong Kong by fly - Hong Kong to Guangzhou by road (car) - Guangzhou to Hong Kong by road (car), do I’m able to get 24 hours visa on boarder for Guangzhou visit ?

No, it is not an eligible route. You need to apply for a visa in advance.

However, you can fly from Hong Kong to Guangzhou, stay there just a little bit more than 24 hours to be eligible for 144 hour visa free transit and then return by ferry. Option of this type would be covered by 144 hour visa free transit scheme, but you will need to buy a ferry ticket before your flight to Guangzhou and also print out that ticket. Also, you will really have to take exactly that ferry you have bought your ticket for.
