Visiting from the UK - Airport of Arrival with internal Flight - Visiting Hong Kong & Macao

Hello,

I am planning my trip to China from the UK and have several questions when it comes to filling my VISA request.
1) Regarding the Travel information. From London, I will be entering China from Beijing and from the same airport I am then taking a flight to Shenzhen. In my visa application, should I put arrival Beijing or Shenzhen?
2) When in Shenzhen, I will be visiting Hong Kong for 3 days and have a day trip to Macao. I guess that for this I will need a "double entry" visa as I'll be going back to Shenzhen, right?
3) I am planning to travel to Shenzhen to Hong Kong and back via train, this shouldn't be an issue, right?
4) When I want to add "Hong Kong" to my itinerary on the "destinations" I only have the option of "Hong Kong Island" I guess that is the option I need to put down and that the day trip to Macao doesn't need to be added on the destinations.
5) Trying to find the answers to my questions on google I came across this which confused my quite a lot:
---- Can I use Chinese visa to enter Hong Kong? The "CHINESE VISA" without word "HONG KONG" or " MACAO" is only valid for mainland of China. The "CHINESE VISA" with word "HONG KONG" is only valid for HONG KONG SAR of China. The "CHINESE VISA" with word "MACAO" is only valid for MACAO SAR of China.

Would I need to have any other type of visa to visit Hong Kong and Macao?

I am preparing the visa from the UK as I want to avoid having to deal with this while in China or Hong Kong.

1. The arrival is Beijing.
2 & 3. Traveling back to Shenzhen from HK by train, you need another entery. So you together need two entries. Its not a problem to return to Shenzhen from HK by train.
4. You don't need to add either HK or Macao, because both adopt independent immigration and visa policies. Just put in these in the mainland China and Hainan Island.
5. China visa only allows you to enter the mainland of China and Hainan. But don't worry. UK passport holders are exempt of HK and Macao visas for up to 180 days.
