X2 visa timing and stay

Once your X2 visa is issued, how early before your X2 study program starts can you arrive in China?

Also if you have an active L visa that you want to swap to an X2 visa due to the dates crossing over, is it simple?

You can enter China as early as the time you get the visa.

It's not difficult if you have all the documents needed for the X2 visa.
