About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit in Guangzhou

Hi, I'm holding a Malaysia Passport. I'm flying from Singapore -> Guangzhou -> Rome via China Southern Airlines (with a 3 hours transit in Guangzhou Baiyun airport).

Do I need to apply for any kind of visa like 24H transit? I'm not gonna exit the airport - just stay within the transit area.
