Old/wrong passport number on train ticket

Hello
I booked a train ticket with an outdated passport number. I'm happy i got an compartment for my family and would try to avoid to cancel my ticket. I could carry the old invalidated passport with me.
What would you suggest? Thanks a lot!

It's somehow risky as you may be rejected to get onboard. You'd better consult the China Railway Company or your agency if you book from them to confirm it.
