About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Taiwan-Shanghai+Zhejiang+Taiwan

Hi,
I am a Spanish national residing in Taiwan.
Can I use the 144h transit visa?
My plan is to land on a Friday to Shanghai, visit Hangzhou and back from Shanghai to Taiwan on a Sunday.
Thanks beforehand.

No, it's a return trip, not a transit, so a visa is needed. You can fly from Shanghai to HK, then back to Taiwan, to create a transit route of Taiwan - Shanghai+Zhejiang - HK.

Meaning I will get a temporary visa if I fly from Taipei to Taiwan on Friday and say that I will leave 144h o to HK on Monday as “final destination”?

When you arrive in Shanghai from Taiwan, you have to show a confirmed flight ticket to Hong Kong (or another third country/territory), and you have to take that flight. You will also have to show that confirmed flight ticket when you check-in for your flight to Shanghai.

Thanks a lot, will they ask for what happens after I land in HK? Ie: do I need a hotel booking… etc, since I will actually take a flight back from HK to TPE.

No. They won't care what you do after you board your flight to HK.
