About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

transit visa

if i have free visa for hainan island, and after 4 days, i would like to flight out to south korea. but the flight required overnight sleep inside shanghai airport. I would like to stay outside the airport, can we get 24 transit visa ?

SYX(HAINAN)-PVG(MAINLAND CHINA)-ICN(SOUTH KOREA)

I'm afraid you cannot. The 24-hour visa-free transit is only eligible for those who fly from abroad directly. So in this case, you are suggested to apply for a China visa in advance.
