I have booked a stay in china from september 5th to november 5th what visa

what visa do i need to stay in china for that long

If for traveling, you can only apply for a tourist (L) visa. But its duration of stay is usually 30 days. Try to make it clear you intend to stay in China for 2 months when filling in the application form. If you still get 30 days duration of stay, you then need to extend it while in China.
