72 hour transit

Hello,

I'm looking to get a flight from UB to Beijing which arrives at 8am then I have a flight going to London the following day at 8pm. Could I apply for a 72 hour transit visa at the airport as my layover is more than 24 hours? The flights are booked with different airlines and are not connected in any way.
