About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

hi there,
i am an indonesia passport holder but already have schengen visa. i fly from jakarta to amsterdam (the same airline different number), and will transit in xiamen for 21 hours. i just want to ask, do i I still qualify for the 24hour visa-free transit? if not, can u explain what kind of transit visa i need to apply and provide me the link. thank you

You definitely qualify for visa free transit and you do not need any kind of visa. Indonesian citizens do not need a visa when they transit Xiamen within their entire transit time shorter than 24 hours. Since your layover is 21 hours, you will be covered by 24 hour visa free transit scheme.

Upon your landing in Xiamen, you will proceed to 24/144 hour visa free transit counter where you will apply for temporary entry permit to be allowed to exit the airport. This permit is free of charge and you will here present your flight ticket and also an accommodation booking confirmation. It is expected that you will sleep somewhere during your 21 hour layover. When you do that, after a short check, you will be granted a permit and you will be allowed to exit the airport. Please, just return on time for your onward flight to Amsterdam.
