About:Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport

can you stay inside the airport overnight

my daughter will be travelling alone and transiting in Xiamen airport, it is long layover of 15 hours, arriving just before midnight. is it possible to stay in the airport overnight (and reasonably comfortable) ? she is not comfortable leaving the airport late in the night by herself. she believes she does not qualify for the free transfer hotel anyway based on the ticket class.

It is possible to stay overnight in the airport. But there is no resting room for a comfortable night.

It is safe in China. So it's advisible for her to get a temporary entry permit and go out of the airport to find a hotel nearby for a good rest.

I was informed by Xiamen Airlines staff that the airport T3 n T4 closes at night. And that passengers cannot stay overnight at airport

I really hope Bella answer is the latest update info

In this past January, I stayed overnight at T4. They did close some lights at midnight and the airport policeman came to check my passport, but did not let me out. So I think you can stay overnight, too. There are some massage armchairs, where you can stay more comfortably.
