About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 hrs transit (PaEK) - two separate airline tickets

Hi
I want to know if this will work
I’m flying in from Bali to Beijing via Singapore airline (July 18) one way ticket.
I have a confirmed ticket via Air China for July 21st directly to Hong Kong. One way ticket.
Will this work? Do they allow tickets from two separate airplanes?
Thanks
Mo

Of course, they do. This was never a problem. The only thing that matters is that your immediate points before and after your mainland Chinese destination have to be in two different countries or eligible regions (eligible regions are Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau). So, if I have properly understood, your itinerary is:

Bali - Singapore - Beijing - Hong Kong

The detail that is of interest for Chinese authorities is only:

Singapore - Beijing - Hong Kong

So, if this itinerary is the case, you are definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in wider Beijing area and you do not need any kind of visa. Separate tickets and and separate airlines are fine and acceptable.
