Hi, the visa application situation in Singapore is impossible now. I need to fly to guangzhou for work this Sunday. And this 144hr visa free transit is my best bet. If this works, it means i don't need any L Tourist Visa or M Commercial visa at all, right? My plan: 14 May- SIN-CAN via Baiyun Airport > stay for 3 days > 17 May- CAN-Phuket-SIN.  Anything else i need to take note of. Pls advise, thank you so much!

Your itinerary is definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in the entire Guangdong province. During your stay, you are allowed to engage yourself in a set of activities that you would usually do if you have had obtained a usual visa in advance. Beside your eligible itinerary, there are no any important details to mention with the exception of DIY covid test. The airline will not ask you about it, but you could be asked to present the result upon your landing in Guangzhou. Basically, this is it.

Thanks Borut! I made in in, but the officer handling my 144hr visa-free transit asked for me to show my Guangzhou hotel booking quite adamantly, which I didn’t have at first as it was a group booking done by my client. My client sent it in time, thankfully! So just a note to prep the hotel booking on top of the third country/region travel ticket :)
