About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hi, flying from Europe to HK(1day stay) then Shanghai4days) and back to Europe. Is Ok for transit?

Travel in 2 person. 1 polish and 1 ukrainian. We stay in Hk 22h exactly since we have a short meeting there. In Shanghai we have to change the airport from Hongqiao to pudong in 4 days.

If I am not wrong, your itinerary is:

Europe - Hong Kong -Shanghai - Europe

If you do not have any additional landings within mainland China on your flight segments:

Hong Kong - Shanghai
Shanghai - Europe

And also an additional landing within Hong Kong on your flight segment:

Shanghai - Europe

Both of you are definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in wider Shanghai area (Shanghai, Zhejiang and Jiangsu) and you do not need any kind of visa.

Your stay and its length in Hong Kong is of no interest for mainland Chinese authorities and you are also allowed to use two different airports in Shanghai.
