About:Overstaying in China & Penalty

my relative has an expired visa for 8 months

he wants to get out the china now, what would happen to him , if he has no money to pay for the fine he has tried to borrow money all over the place. he couldn't find anyone to lend him any money

Your relative might be put into a detention camp for 5 to 15 days. What's more, he might be put into the blacklist and not allowed to enter China again.
