About:10-year China Visa for US and Canadian Citizens

10 years visa validation

I applied for a 10 years Visa and expired on Oct 24, 2028.

Do i need to apply for visa again if i plan to go to China in future when the border open?

There is no need to apply again if your visa is still within the valid period when the border opens.

Yes, you might have to apply again. I have a Q2 visa which China is now allowing in but I still have to go through the visa process again even though my Q2 visa is valid until 2026. The only exception is if you got your visa recently. I forgot the exact cutoff date but it might be 2020 of March.

Hi @Brian, I am in your exact same situation. I've emailed the NY Embassy to ask if my existing 10 year visa is still valid, but have not heard back yet. Meanwhile, I'm getting ready to re-apply again if needed. Can I ask when you applied for your visa and how long it took the Embassy to issue your new travel visa? Thanks.
